Our friends at Sub Ohm Innovation sent us the SubZeroX Mod and RDA last week to give them our thoughts on their latest and greatest. We didn't think they could do better than their SubZero Legendary and SubZero Shorty, but to our dismay they managed to prove us wrong. Not only is it cheaper than the Legendary and Shorty, but it hits substantially harder. We definitely really enjoyed the hit we from the new RDA and Mod combo. It has a solid feel with a very nice weight to it, and a buttery smooth button. The mod is available in copper and brass, both materials being on the heftier side. It takes one 18650 which is not included and offers a hybrid connection.

Some of the great features in the RDA are the massive posts and clamping pin system and because of the 25MM design makes it easier to build on and in addition to a massive juice well. It has a 1/2 inch Drip tip which allows a wide variety of different drip tips to fit on it and comes with a variety of accessories including extra screws and O-rings. The SubZeroX Mod and RDA both come with 510 adapters which allow connections to any box/rda/rdta combination and both come with a machined metal placard with a unique serial number. Definitely a nice touch.

Overall we are pleased with both the RDA and Mod, although there is a small downside to it, which is the 25MM diameter. This makes it harder to find a RDA/RDTA that fits flush with the mod but the plus side is that Sub Ohm does include the 510 adapters to get the RDA to work with other Mods as well as vice versa with adapters for the Mod to work with other RDAs/RDTAs. Overall we recommend this mechanical mod to Intermediate to Advanced vape users due to it being an unregulated mod. This requires knowledge in building and battery safety, as well as awareness of making sure you have an atomizer with a protruding contact pin so that it makes correct contact with the battery.
